Field Build Instructions for VEX V5 Override – Global Robotics & Science Foundation

VEX V5 Robotics Competition Override is played on a 12' x 12' square field. The object of the game is to score more points than your opponent by stacking Pins and Cups on Goals, setting Toggles to your Alliance color, and ending the match with your robot in the Midfield. The build instructions walk through assembling the Override Field step by step.

Override Field Build Instructions

The 2026-27 VEX V5 Robotics Competition "Override" Full Game & Field Element Kit is required to complete this build. The instructions are designed around the parts included in that kit. The kit is compatible with both the Competition Field Perimeter Kit and the Portable Competition Field Perimeter.

Note: You will also need eight (8) Field Element Plates, which are not included with the Override Field Kit.

The Override Field at the start of a match with the field divided into four triangular quadrants around the central midfield. In each Quadrant goals are placed and there are pins and cups scattered across the field.
