Accessing the Role Categories in the PD+ Community

This article shows how to access the VEX Robotics Competition role areas of the VEX Professional Learning Community (PLC), such as the Head Referee category, where certified volunteers can read and make posts for their role and program. It is written for certified volunteers, such as Head Referees.

The PLC is part of PD+, known as VEX Professional Development Plus at pd.vex.com. Within the PLC, each certified VEX Robotics Competition role has its own area for each program. Your role's area is where you can ask questions, share what you have learned, and read posts from other certified volunteers in the same role. These areas are not open to everyone: your role's area becomes visible on your account when you complete the full competition certification course for your role and program and earn your certificate, such as V5 Override Head Referee Certification or IQ Level Up Head Referee Certification. The PLC uses the same VEX account you used to complete your certification, so there is no separate login to create.

Definitions of the terms used here are maintained in the central glossary.

For event volunteer roles and their certification requirements, see Volunteer Roles at a Local Event.
