Leagues can still include judging, though the process for remote judging follows a different path than judging at Tournaments. This article explains when remote judging happens and how digital notebooks move from coaches to the judges reviewing them.

League Format
VEX V5 league competitions are organized as a series of official competition sessions held over multiple dates, culminating in a final league Elimination session. Leagues provide teams with additional opportunities to compete and improve throughout the season.
A typical league format is several competition sessions — usually 3 sessions of inspection and qualifying matches — culminating in a final session with elimination matches and judging.
Judging
If you choose to include judging in your league, it should take place during the final league Elimination session. You may also offer remote judging for a league. In this case, digital notebooks must be submitted at least 3 weeks before the Elimination session.
Remote judging follows this handoff:
- Coaches submit their team's engineering notebook through the coach's account on events.vex.com, using the Digital Engineering Notebook link.
- The Event Partner sends that link to the Judge Advisor.
- The Judge Advisor sends the link to the judges assigned to judge notebooks.
